Dia daoibh, a chairde! I hope that those of you who have been reading the missives from my novel How To Build a Universe That Doesn’t Fall Apart have been enjoying that weird, dark journey. Those conspiracies will continue later on this week. But for now, I’m excited to share an exclusive preview of my upcoming Irish folk album, Forfocséic, Vol. 3: Love & War. This one comes from the “war” part of the song collection, and features tin whistle work by Paula Arzac of ¡Viva Mayham! and drumming by the inimitable Craig Divino (plus other stuff by me, ‘natch).
Here’s an earlier/unmastered mix of “The Rising Of The Moon”
In other music news, I’m kind-of-sort-of-trying to do February Album Writing Month this year (while finishing Forfocséic, and working, and childcare, and), so I’ve posted a new tunes over there as well. These are very rough one-and-done demos, but if you like seeing things in process, you can check that out.
I’m also in the process of finalizing some ✨live✨ St. Patrick’s Day performances this year. I’ll share that news once I have the contracts signed and all that jazz. Err, not jazz, I guess, but whatever, you get the idea.
Talk soon!
